Soogy Quizno and Data Entry Day

Today I arrrive at 9:03am, 3 minutes shy of 9:00.  I was able to get the registers open, fill the water chest, and put out the acoustiguides before Ainslie arrived on the scene.

Thursday, August 18, 2005 (Dad's 52nd Birthday!!!)

I came in at 3:30pm and we had our weekly meeting. Ainslie updated us on the Summer in the South coupon.  We have received over 300 coupons and have added over 600 constiuents to our Raisers Edge Database.  Ainslie also informed us that the staff upstairs is working on a book that should appear in our bookstore by Christmas. The book is called "Missing New Orleans."  I'm told that its about the disappearing history of New Orleans and New Orleans Art (?), not sure, I'll have to fish for more information concerning this endeavor.  Ogden After Hours was Great!  The artists were called "Country Fried," a group of 4 guys dressed uniquely in country attire.  There was a Bass, three guitars, and a harmonica. Their tonal blend and harmony was great.  I really enjoyed them.  Their selections were short and sweet which made time seem to fly by. Over all that night we had 158 guests & members and 9 memberships. During the day (9:30-5pm) we had a total of 55 guest including the 21 (Louisiana Residents). The total head count for the day was 213.

Today, August 19, 2005

It's been a nice day, rather quiet and slow-typical summer.  I've been working on entering data from the coupons people have been printing off of our website.  I have also still been entering the names and email addresses from the sign-in sheet at the front desk.  This is sort of annoying (the sign-in sheet) because people do not write clearly therfore it is impossible for me to read the bulk of these. I entered the new discouts and coupons and a couple visitor comments as well.  Don and I decided to order from Quiznos today.  I told Don a while back that Quiznos was good.  He had never had them so we ordered today.  I ordered our sandwiches around 11:30am, we got them at 12:30ish.  In the middle of that hour, it rained and to our suprise the girl that delivered them to us had walked from the shop, which is halfway down St. Charles ave. To make it worse, whoever packaged the sandwiches put them in the bag with our sodas.  So when we got our subs, they were soggy and barely warm.  egghhhh. Never again will I order delivery from Quiznos.  Anyways, It's been an cool day. the sun is shining outside now, and its 3:17, only and hour and 15 mins to go.
